I believe creativity is the key to happiness. Children should be encouraged at every opportunity to express themselves creatively.

I work mainly in primary schools with 7 to 11 year olds. I also run after school art clubs and do workshops in all sorts of media for arts weeks, and special experiences for the children. I can also deliver staff training for non-art specialists for example to enable them to get more from children's observational drawing; using sketchbooks; looking at art and artists. I can offer consultation and advice on managing the more unusual materials in primary schools, such as textiles, clay and larger group projects such as the mosaics.

Away from the rows of desks and chairs in a formal classroom, an art room has the ability to change a child's state of mind. They relax, can move around the room, chat, become absorbed, forget squabbles, co-operate, share equipment and ideas, laugh, cry, cope with a disaster and learn to repair it.

If you'd like to discuss the possibility of me working in your school, or with a group of children, please email me.

Below are the photos of some of the projects I have been doing with Our Lady and St Kenelm Primary School. The mural has only recently been started. I'll post more photos as it grows.
