Much of my work uses clothes and household textiles: these items bring with them a ready made short cut to the personal and domestic. These items are altered and sometimes destroyed to skew meaning. Embroidery is heavy, obsessive, time consuming. The processes I use are usually well crafted, detailed.

I am greatly influenced by music, and contemporary song lyrics. I have written some myself, and links can be found within these pages. The songs are used as soundtrack to the made pieces and installations.

I collect recordings of ambient and domestic sounds which are edited and used to provide rhythms and emphasise the domestic feeling of the work.
